Early years
When Brick was younger he was often bullied for the way he spoke and as a result he had some rage issues he needed to deal with. Bricks mother decided that in order to help him get over these issues that she would sign him up for youth football. Brick quickly found himself a position on the defensive line as he would explode off the line and chase after his former bullies. Brick has said himself "If I can't support mama with my brain then I will do it with my hands" and he has found a place where he can do that on the football field. On top of his love of football, brick also developed a huge fondness for Animals and loves to foster as many stray cats and dogs as he can in his off time, people at the local shelters refer to him as "The scariest, kindest and most sweet Teddy bear you have ever seen." His viciousness on the field all seems to melt away when he has his mothers favorite cat boots in his hands.
College career
He was rated by Rivals.com as a four-star recruit and was ranked as the third best defensive end in his class, eventually committing to his home town gophers, immediately in his first season Brick started 11 of 14 games while recording 40 tackles and 8.5 sacks. From that point on everyone knew this would be a turning point for that defense, as he quickly climbed his way up to a staple on the defense with teammates saying things about him such as "That dude scares the hell out of me" and "I changed position from Oline after watching him for 10 minutes in practice". Bricks teammates have also called him very loyal to a fault. Brick has been touted as one of most intense power rushers in the big ten in recent years and scouts have considered him very ISFL ready in recent years.
