Early years
Raised by a single mother in a small home in Bruxelles, Belgium, Ignatius lived a quite and nice childhood. Unlike most other players he didn't play football in high school, preferring to spend his time reading and rambiling about medieval history, medieval litterature, medieval philosophy, and many more medieval things. According to him, any sport whatsoever was "chaos, lunacy, and bad taste alltogether." The only exception being jousting, alas the combination of not knowing how to ride an horse nor how to use a lance and the fact that absolutely no one else but him even thought about jousting more than once every decade or so made it impossible for him to become a professional jouster. In his free time, he enjoys playing the trumpet as well as the lute. He is believed to enjoy playing Dungeon and Dragons, unfortunately for him he enjoys it as much as people hate to play with him.
College career
Due to the fact that he didn't play in high school, Ignatius wasn't scouted nor offered a scolarship to play in college. He got a bachelor and master degree in medieval history and had started the second year of his PhD before being noticed by one of the football coach due to his imposing stature. Quite enjoying the idea of wearing an armor, Ignatius joined the football team. His multiple attempts to get his teammates to form a coup with him to change the name of the team from ULB Owls to ULB Knights didn't gather much traction. He played there for one season, and ended up voted as a 1st team all conference despite his team missing the playoffs. He would quit the team later that year following a heated debate about theology and Fortuna. According to multiple statements, he was seen storming off, claiming he would "only mingle with his peers or no one and has he had no peers wouldn't mingle with anyone"

DSFL Waivers and DSFL Draft
Joining too late to be picked up on waiver, Reilly got to impress scouts at the Prospect Bowl, helping the Asgard Drengr to the Bowl's best defense. To his surprise, he got drafted in the 4th round by the London Royals.
London Royals
Reilly quickly secured the starting linebacker spot in London's defense. While the Royals missed the playoffs, finishing with a 7-7 record, Reilly proved his worth by tying 1st in tackles among all defensive players with 121.
