Douglas Quaid (born December 29, 2013) is an American football linebacker prospect in the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). He played college football for Utah State and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.
Early years
Quaid didn't start playing organized football until his sophomore year of high school. He picked up the game quickly and started to receive interest from D1 schools during his junior season. His playing time was split between defensive end and linebacker. As a junior it was evident he was a D1 level prospect, he was significantly bigger, stronger, and more athletic than just about everybody on the field. He became almost impossible to block. His go to moves were power rushes against smaller blockers and speed rushes against bigger lineman. He was in the offensive backfield constantly collecting sacks and tackles for loss. During his senior year Granger HS made it to the semifinals of the Utah Football State Championships, but came up short in an overtime loss. Quaid received offers from Utah, BYU, Nevada, and Utah State. He ultimately decided to sign a full ride scholarship with the Utah State Aggies.
