Early years
Sergeant William Fontaine de la Tour Dauterive, more commonly known to his high school friends as Bill the "Billdozer" Dauterive, was born to an upper class Cajun family in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Despite coming from a well-to-do family, Bill lived a troubled and lonely childhood that would impact him for the rest of his life. His father, Eric Dauterive, spent most of their time together putting Bill down and dealing out corporate punishment for even the mildest offences. This type of abuse was a common theme in the Dauterive family, but it didn't break Bill's spirit. He moved out of his family home to Arlen, Texas and grew up to be a soft-hearted (albeit clinically depressed) man who cared deeply for his friends and wanted nothing more than to find his place in the world. Bill wasn't the smartest or most athletic man, but eventually made a big name for himself on his high school football team. Later, he enlisted in the United States Military where he climbed up the ranks to Sergeant.
Early Career
Bill Dauterive never made it to college. While he could speak fluent Cajun French and a bit of Tagalog, that was about the extent of his academic abilities. In seeking out a place to belong, he eventually enlisted in the United States Army and, more specifically, the Army Barber Academy. After completing his training, Bill became an accomplished barber who cut the hair of every soldier to come through the base at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Despite being an enlisted man himself, Bill was never deployed and had a lot of spare time on his hands between appointments. During one of his leaves he attended a Molly Hatchet concert where he met and fell in love with his wife Lenore. However, she ended up breaking his heart and leaving him for another man. Bill was once again lonely and left to his thoughts, and soon found himself reminiscing about his glory days on the Arlen High football team. It was there where he earned his nickname "Billdozer" and felt the most accepted among his peers. Bill originally played on the team as an offensive lineman, but held the team's record for most career touchdowns. While some might find this statistic utterly impossible, he found a way to do it by literally dragging the other team across the field on his back on every second offensive play after being handed the ball by his quarterback. Hoping to find a new place to belong where he might be appreciated, Bill decided to leave the army behind and declare for the DSFL draft, this time as a linebacker.
