Jordan Bamford was picked in the 2nd round with pick 10 by the Portland Pythons. Bamford started the year as the wr3 but after impressing he was quickly moved to wr2. Portland started the year as the team to beat with a blowout victories over the Grey Ducks, Coyotes, and Buccaneers to start the year. Bamford’s best game of the season came against the Luchadores accumulating 5 catches for 74 yards and a touchdown in a victory over Tijuana. While Bamford didn’t put up great stats he was still an important part of Portland’s elite 11-3 campaign. The Pythons entered the playoffs as heavy favorites to win it all, but first they had to get past the Coyotes in the Conference Championship. Portland would go on to crush the Coyotes 31-14 and move on to play in the Ultimini. In the Ultimini they continued their dominance with a 33-10 victories over Tijuana, in that game Bamford made 4 catches and led the team with 58 receiving yards. Overall Bamford had a successful season with the 13th most receiving yards in the league in his rookie season along with the 14th most receptions. While he may not have been the best rookie receiver a rookie season ultimini victory is still a great start.
