Early years
Wing Gundam comes from humble origins. In a village near Okinawa, Japan, an electrical engineer father and roboticist mother raised a beefy young man who would soon take on the moniker Wing Gundam. His parents were caring, if a bit distracted with their work. They crafted a mech suit for their child to wear "for safety" and the adolescent was more than happy to oblige them. Ever since then, Wing Gundam experiences his life as a cyborg or android, whatever the correct terminology for a man permanently in an exosuit. The young man took a liking to contact sports, probably because he was incapable of getting hurt. Thanks to a lack of regulations in the leagues, Wing was able to play (and dominate) little league football with all of the other kids. He quickly gained a reputation as an up and coming talent. By the time Gundam was playing for his high school team, he was a familiar name to college scouts.
College career
Despite offers to play for high profile college teams the world over, Wing Gundam decided to stay closer to home and attend the University of Tokyo. He played limited minutes in his freshman year, but made them count. The defensive coordinator quickly identified Gundam as a unique asset. During his sophomore season, Wing started nearly half of the time, with 6 starts total. His minutes in each game grew substantially over the freshman year, too. Wing Gundam took a season away to be with family under mysterious cirumstances, but returned his junior year in a fully overhauled and improved exosuit. The impact on the field was incredibly substantial. Wing Gundam went from a passable defensive end to a world-class talent for his age. During his senior season, Gundam experienced similar success. Rumor has it that Wing Gundam has received another of these powerful overhauls since graduating, but those reports remain unconfirmed.
