Meagher's second season in the ISFL was a marked improvement for the 2051 season for both himself and for the Fire Salamanders, as the Fire Salamanders improved to a 7-9 record off of the back of their defense which allowed the 3rd least points. This was assisted by Meagher creating interior pressure and disrupting the interior line both in pass rush and run stopping. Meagher recorded his first career sack in Week 5 vs the Baltimore Hawks. He also recorded his first forced fumble in Week 15 vs the Colorado Yeti. In Week 16 vs the Orange County Otters, Meagher recorded a career high 9 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Early years
Born in Raleigh, North Carolina to a Sean and Allison Meagher. His father worked construction and his mother was a student and later nurse as he entered middle school. Nathan was heavily involved in sports at a young age. As a child he played in many sports, including basketball, ice hockey, track and field, and martial arts. He however decided to go into football mainly as his physical build best fit the sport compared to his other ventures. At 6 feet, 2 inches and 260 pounds at age 14, his natural size allowed him to outmuscle anyone when playing football at the high school level. His high school won consecutive state championships in 2044 and 2045 due to a stifling defense ancored by Meagher. Meagher was a 5-star high school recruit in 2047 and received multiple D1 offers, including Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Clemson, Ohio State, and Oregon.
College career
Nathan committed to North Carolina State in March 2025. The main factor in his decision was "staying near family and being in a familiar environment."
2047 Season
Nathan Meagher started as a true freshman for NC State, starting all 13 games. Nathan logged 24 total tackles, 1 sack, 3 TFLs, and a forced fumble.
2048 Season
The Wolfpack took a step forward in 2046, winning the ACC title vs rival North Carolina. Meagher's contributions greatly assisted the Wolfpack's defense recording 2 sacks and a fumble recovered for a touchdown during the conference title game. He finished the season with 50 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, 10 TFLs, and 3 forced fumbles. NC State ultimately won the Peach Bowl vs Georgia.
2049 Season
Meagher recorded 65 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, 18 TFLs, and 6 forced fumbles en route to an NCAA All-American team appearance and being awarded the Bednarik for best defensive player in the NCAA. After this season Meagher decided to declare for the DSFL draft, forgoing his senior season.

DSFL Career
2050 Season
Nathan Meagher was selected in the fifth round of the 2050 DSFL Draft by the Bondi Beach Buccaneers and was the starting defensive tackle for the 2050 DSFL season. The 2050 season for the Buccaneers was a poor and difficult one for the team where they went 3-11; the worst record in the DSFL. Meagher himself started the season in very slowly, not recording a tackle until week 3. During the season, Meagher was eventually moved to the edge position. Meagher recorded his first sack in Week 5 vs the Kansas City Coyotes in a 49-12 loss which also resulted in a safety. Meagher recorded his first forced fumble in Week 7 vs the Minnesota Grey Ducks where the Buccaneers won 31-13. Meagher ended the season starting every game with 31 tackles, 5 sacks, 5 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 safety.
ISFL Career
Berlin Fire Salamanders
2051 Season
Due the larger amount of talent in the 2051 ISFL Entry Draft than in previous seasons, several notable draftees fell much further than they had they been in a more generic draft class. This included Meagher, who despite being his play netting him a DSFL Pro-Bowl appearance, was not selected until the 4th round by the Berlin Fire Salamanders and was the 7th Interior Defensive Lineman selected. On draft night, he was vocal and frustrated by this large slide in his draft position. In his rookie season, Meagher struggled, along with the rest of the Fire Salamanders as Berlin posted the worst record in the ISFL in 2051, going 2-14. Meagher was unable to acclimate to the higher tier of skill, being unable to record a sack or turnover in the 2051 season. He finished the 2051 season starting all 16 games, recording 27 tackles, 3 of which tackles for a loss.
2052 Season
Meagher ended the 2052 season with 54 tackles, which was double his tackles in 2051, and 8 tackles for loss, which was the 2nd most tackles for loss in the ISFL among defensive tackles.
2053 Season
Meagher's level of play remained static between 2052 and 2053, recording similar stats between both seasons. In a Week 9 matchup vs the New Orleans Secondline, Meagher recorder 5 tackles and a forced fumble; his only forced fumble of the season and his third of his career. In a Week 11 game travelling to the Chicago Butchers, Meagher recorded 6 tackles and 4 tackles for loss; the latter being a career high in one game. In a Week 12 game vs the Philadelphia Liberty, Meagher recorded 5 tackles and one sack, the first of the season. His run stopping ability and interior pressure helped the Berlin Fire Salamanders to a 10-6 record and a first round bye, the first time since 2049 and 2044 respectively. Before the playoffs, Meagher signed a 9 year extension worth $36 million. In the NSFC Final, Meagher recorded 4 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 sack in a win over the Yellowknife Wraiths, granting Berlin their first Utlimus appearance since 2047. However Meagher faltered and the Fire Salamanders lost vs Arizona 23-21, with Meagher only recording one tackle.
