Early years
Katya was born in Moscow, never knowing her real parents, and left to fend for herself from an early age. She attempted to become a gymnast at the age of 14, however she didn't have the right body for it, always being on the bulkier side despite having a rough upbringing. After that, she was tired of trying to make it on her own in Moscow, and decided to sneak out of the country illegally and make her way to America. She was able to eventually get the proper documentation upon arrival, although no one is quite sure how. From there, she found her footing as a football star at a local Boston high school and decided this was the career for her. She wanted to put her larger body to use, and she knew she could always outsmart the Americans, especially since she'd had to think on her toes basically since birth.
College career
Before arriving to Drag U, they didn't even have a sports program, let alone a football team. Katya had to figure out how to get a team assembled from a college campus full of drag performers, since this was the only place that would accept her high school transcript, and everyone tended to think she was a drag queen anyway, so this was the perfect place. She was able to convince several of the big names, like Latrice Royale and Alaska Thunderfvck, to join the team, and once she was able to get them, everyone else followed suit. They played an independent schedule all 4 years that Katya was there, and somehow managed to win most of their games in that time, despite no one but Katya having played before college. Katya won several NAIA awards and even was given a special presentation at the ESPYs her senior year, showcasing the creation of Drag U's football team.
