Early years
"Andrija was born in Serbia, his mother and father both wanted him to play soccer. Growing up Andrija always loved basketball and football. In Serbia there are no football clubs, he had to stick with basketball. At an early age, he was much bigger than the other kids around him. They knew at an early age Andrija would grow to be tall. One day a US based team played a scrimmage game in Serbia, and Andrija was hooked and always wanted to play football! He dreamed to be a great TE like Tony Gonzalez. Andrija attended the game and was mesmerised by the plays on the field, the contact of the sport and the camaraderie
He spoke to a coach from the scrimmage team, which they were intrugued by his height, and also his athleticism. After speaking to the coach over the phone for months the coach sent Andrija to Wisconsin for a tryout."
College career
Andrija landed in Wisconsin, never being in the United States before and still learning english. He had trouble understanding what the kids and coaches were saying. He spent alot of time with a english coach to help him get better with the english language. But when he got on the field, all of that changed. He dominated his tryout at Mukwonago Highschool. It was crazy a full bearded Serbian playing football in Wisconsin. Andrija was very friendly and was loved by other kids at the highschool. Over the next few months Andrija worked on his english, learning how to play the TE position. After his first year Andrija went on to lead the state of Wisconsin in TD's and catch percentage. With his large hands, he is easly able to go up and grab passes with ease. He ended his highschool career leading all TE's in TDs. After Highschool, Andrija went back to Serbia, in hopes to become drafted
