Andy Fantuz (born June 20, 2025) was an American football wide receiver for the Kansas City Coyotes of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).
Early years
Andy Fantuz was born in Toronto, Canada and has been fascinated with football for the majority of his life. one of his earliest memories related to football was watching San Jose Sabercat legend Tyron Brackenridge terrorizing opposing offenses with his abilitto sack or pick them off. While Andy might not have been the fastest kid growing up, his hands have been his best assets easily due to the very rare occurrence of him dropping a football and led to him become a wide receiver throughout high school and earlier. While the Canadian brand of football is slightly different than what is seen in the ISFL, both versions of the game require receivers to be sure handed and have a nose for the endzone. Andy Fantuz's high school numbers werent the most eye popping, as he only averaged around 700 yards and 10 touchdowns per season but there was still a University willing to give him a shot which ended up being the one that Tyron Brackenridge also attended, which is Maryland Terrapins.
College career
While Andy Fantuz tried to show out in the offseason workouts for the Terrapins, he ended up finding himself being redshirted for his true freshman season as the Terrapins struggled mightily and canned their head coach that sought out Andy Fantuz himself. With the uncertainty of the new coach looming over Andy Fantuz he once again saw himself with limited play time after his first season being elligible to play and only saw action in 3 blow out losses with little tape to show. While things were looking up for Andy Fantuz as he was slotted to be the #2 receiver for the Terrapins he swiftly suffered a broken leg in his first game of the season and saw no other playing time. In Fantuz's final season with the Terrapins he struggled to find much success due to the programs desire to start a true freshman quarterback who struggled to form a connection with Fantuz who only ended up with 650 yards and 6 touchdowns.
