Early years
Kyouma was born in Akihabara, Japan, on December 14, 2024. An early learner in the fields of science, Kyouma took a quick interest in time travel, aided by his knack for inventions. On a trip to the United States, Kyouma saw his first football game and was instantly infatuated with the sport. An excitable kid, he was able to meet some players as they were leaving, and fell even more in love with the game. Despite being far on the small side for a football player, Kyouma made it his goal to play football at the professional level. In his free time from high school, Kyouma would study the science behind football, as well as start to get in shape. He quickly became familiar with the math behind most common football mechanisms, like passing and evasive moves for ball carriers. Despite urging from his parents that he was too small to play, and not having played football in high school, he hoped to make an early impact for Tokyo Denki University, his dream school once for the sciences, but also now for football.
College career
"Kyouma walked on to the team at Tokyo Denki University and was immediately told to bulk up. He redshirted a true freshman, spending most of every day in the weight room, even asking for additional time as the team was practicing to work out more. Despite not playing a single snap his first year, in a press conference at the end of the year, Kyouma's coaches said they were delighted with his drive to play and hoped he'd get to see the field soon.
In his redshirt freshman year, he still saw limited snaps, playing as the fourth cornerback on the depth chart, but still made the local news during the rivalry game against the Tokyo University of Science, recording 7 tackles and one forced fumble which would seal the win for Tokyo Denki. He would finish the season with a total of 24 tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception.
His sophomore year saw a big spike in snaps played, as two players ahead of him would graduate the year before. In ten games for Tokyo Denki, Kyouma would record 94 tackles, 6 interceptions, as well as a fumble recovery which he returned for a touchdown. Despite still missing the playoffs, Kyouma would recieve second team All-Japan honors as well as Tokyo Denki's Defensive Player of the Year
In his junior campaign, Kyouma was setting his sights on a monster season to make the jump to the ISFL. His first three games he was on pace to set the Japan record for tackles, recording over 15 in each game. His next two games saw a dip in production however, as the opponents' gameplan relied heavily on option plays, which Kyouma was unaccustomed to yet. With half the season to go, Kyouma had recorded 60 tackles, needing 75 in his next five games to break the record. Despite high production, Kyouma fell slightly short, finishing the season with 130 tackles, as well as 6 interceptions and 5 forced fumbles. He recieved first team All-Japan honors and decided to make the move to the DSFL draft in the next season."
