(WIP) Kacper Puntky (born April 11, 2023) was an American football cornerback for the Minnesota Grey Ducks of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).
Early years
Kacper was born in Terespol, Poland in 2023 to Jakub and Katarzyna Puntky, and throughout much of his early childhood Kacper would play a variety of sports including handball, ice hockey, soccer (football), among others encouraged by his mother who was a former professional female soccer player. During Kacper's teenage year's his father began working for an American investment bank that had recently entered Poland and one night, according to Katarzyna, his father was invited to a company dinner where highlights from a recent ISFL game were playing in the background and he instantly became enamored with the sport. Soon after, Jakub signed 14-year-old Kacper up to train with local Polish American Football League team, Giants Wrocław. Kacper quickly impressed athletically, and, due to the relatively low level of competition in the PLSA, was placed on the starting roster of both 8v8 and 11v11 teams for fall and spring seasons, effectively playing four football seasons every year until he moved to Warsaw to attend school when he turned 18.
College career
Kacper applied to multiple smaller American schools including NIU and UTEP with hopes of somehow playing NCAA football, however, his father fell ill and no longer could work meaning his family had no way to pay American tuition. Eventually, Kacper settled in Warsaw attending the Warsaw University of Technology and transferring from the Giants to the Warsaw Eagles in order to keep playing football. During his time at the Eagles, he was easily the best player and often played both cornerback and wide receiver among a litany of other roles and brought them to an undefeated, title-winning season. He would be on track to repeat the feat in his second year at university but two weeks before the first playoff game he was contacted by Minnesota Grey Ducks GM, the CC, about a potential opportunity to fill spots on the Grey Ducks defense for the 27th season of the DSFL. Kacper jumped at the opportunity and promptly booked a ticket to Duluth and soon after arriving in the states, he dropped out of University with the blessing of his parents.
