Romulus was born in Gary, Indiana along with twin brother Remus. The two brothers showed a natural talent for sports, playing several (Hockey, Soccer, Lacrosse, Football) growing up. Throughout highschool Romulus played Soccer and Football and was recruited to attend college under scholarship for both sports. In football, Romulus started all 4 years of high school and led his team in tackles and forced fumbles for 3 consecutive years. Named team captain his Junior year, the team was defeated in the state championship. Senior year the team made it back to the championship, winning in a 37-2 route. Romulus was named to the 2nd team All-state team twice and 1st team once his senior year. Ultimately deciding on continuing his Football career, he was a 4 star recruit. Ultimately Romulus decided to stay in state to attend Purdue University following in his family's footsteps.
