During his Sophomore year of college, Nacho began to shine. Having trained especially hard in the offseason, Nacho began to get national recognition. Despite a QB carousel at UNM, Nacho had solidified himself as a pro-level talent by averaging over 10 catches and 100 yards a game. In his Junior, and final, year of college, Nacho had separated himself as one of the best receivers in the country. He led the NCAA in yards halfway through the season. However, he was suspended by team for the second half of the season for undisclosed reasons. UNM has not stated officially the reason for the suspension, however, Nacho has allegedly been tied to the Salamanca cartel, which he has vehemently denied. At the end of the season, Nacho declared for the DSFL draft.

Nacho was drafted 44th overall by the Palm Beach Solar Bears in the DSFL draft. In his first season in the DSFL, Nacho posted decent stats, including 52 catches for 552 yards. However, he only managed 2 touchdowns. The Solar Bears themselves had a very disappointing season, despite a roster stacked with talent, and went 3-11 on the season. This was partly due to bad sim luck, as well as a QB who disappointed both on and off the field as he failed to improve as the season progressed. As a result of this, Nacho decided to not play another season in the DSFL, and would try to be called up immediately into the NSFL if possible.

Draft: Nacho was drafted with the 29th pick by the Philadelphia Liberty. Although projected as a top prospect heading into the draft, Nacho fell to the end of the third round partially due to an abundance of quality players, and partially due to a lack of receiving needs among NSFL teams. Ignacio "Nacho" Varga (born January 1, 2008) was an American football safety for the Philadelphia Liberty of the ISFL and the Palm Beach Solar Bears of the National Simulation Football League (X). He played college football for University of New Mexico (UNM) and was drafted 44th overall by the Palm Beach Solar Bears in the DSFL draft.

Early years

Nacho was born to Manuel and Ana Varga in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He grew up helping in his father's automobile restoration and repair shop. At a young age, Nacho showed a propensity for sports. He quickly became the first kid picked in the street football games in his neighborhood. He tried out for the Albuquerque High football team as a Freshman, and made the team as a wide receiver. By his sophomore year he was playing nearly every snap, and had solidified himself as one of the best receivers in the state. He currently holds nearly every receiving record at Albuquerque High.

College career

Nacho received several D1 offers after being listed as a 5-star recruit. He decided to commit to his hometown college of UNM. His Freshman year, he struggled for playing time, despite being more talented than most of the other WRs on the team. After his friend Tuco Salamanca paid his coach a visit, Nacho immediately saw an increase in the amount of snaps played. He was able to put up modest numbers during his first year.

Professional career

Prospect Bowl

Nacho was assigned to the Midwest Wolfpack. Nacho recorded 14 catches for 145 yards. He also led all players in kick return yards, and yards per return, with 265 yards on 11 attempts. In the first round of the playoffs, Nacho's best game came in a playoff loss, where he recorded 6 receptions for 80 yards and a TD.

DSFL career
