Contents
Early years
Kevin Fitzpatrick was born in Houston, Texas, and attended Katy High School. Initially, he lacked the arm strength to play quarterback, and spent his first season as a second-string running back while he put on muscle, and occasionally played zone corner in dime situations, lacking the speed for man to man. His sophomore year he got the job behind center. While he had to avoid the urge to simply run with it every time, he eventually got more comfortable throwing the ball.
College career
Fitzpatrick played at Quarterback for the Air Force Falcons. As a true freshman, Fitzpatrick failed to earn the starting job, lacking either the arm talent or true "dual-threat" speed of other options, spending the entire season on the bench. With one graduation and one offseason battle, Fitzpatrick earned a starting role, and held on to it for the rest of his college career. His biggest game came against the Navy Midshipmen his senior year, with 81 of his 229 rushing yards and 0 sacks taken as the pass rush failed over and over again to bring him down.
College career statistics
Fitzpatrick left college with a career total of 6,923 passing yards, 96 passing touchdowns, 17 interceptions, and a total record of 23-10. He set a team record for the most passing yards in a single season (3,179), as well as setting Falcons records in most passing touchdowns in a single season (37).

2024 NSFL Scouting Combine |
Fitzpatrick declared for the 2023 DSFL Draft (S8) the moment he was eligible and was considered a top prospect immediately. Despite fellow prospect Gus T. T. Showbiz garnering a great deal of attention as well, Fitzpatrick went on to be selected 1st overall in the draft by the San Antonio Marshals. He was immediately announced as the full-time starter and set franchise records for most passing yards in a season and a single game, and for most touchdowns in a game and season as well. He led the Marshals to an 11-3 record and led the league in passer rating while also taking the fewest sacks. Unfortunately, he came up very short in the playoffs against Tijuana and was eliminated. With a poor performance when it mattered most, as well as in both of his games against Showbiz, there was significant concern that he couldn't compete when it mattered most.
In the 2024 ISFL Draft (S9), Fitzpatrick was mocked to be drafted 3rd overall to the Philadelphia Liberty by many league experts, but when the draft came around, he fell all the way to 10th, when the Arizona Outlaws selected him with their second-round pick. Showbiz, whose future rights were already owned by the Orange County Otters, was selected 14th. Immediately following the draft, the team announced that Fitzpatrick would be starting, the team's former quarterback, King Bronko, having internally announced his retirement.
