LeHarm James (born December 27, 2033) is an American football defensive end for the Dallas Birddogs of the DSFL. He played college football at Arkansas before being drafted as a kicker with the 12th pick in the 2056 DSFL Draft.

Early years

James was born in Memphis, Tennessee alongside his twin brother LeHarm (Harmie) James. The two had the same name due to a legal incident, and the latter became a relief pitcher in the PBE. James picked up kicking from a young age due to his role model being former Arkansas kicker Zach Hocker. He attended Fayetteville High School and gained notoriety for his impressive abilities to make kicks from a long range. James graduated as the only 4-star kicker in his class before committing to Arkansas.

College career

After redshirting a year, James spent four seasons as the starting kicker for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Over the course of his career, he broke the school record for most FGs made and most XPs made. In his junior and senior years, James won the Lou Groza Award for best placekicker. In his junior year, James was the subject of a joke campaign calling for him to win the Heisman Award after he accidentally scored a touchdown when his holder fumbled the ball. In his senior year, James led the Razorbacks to a College Football Playoff appearance after he made a 56-yarder to win against Texas.

Despite concerns he wouldn’t adjust well to having to also punt in the NSFL, he had a spectacular showing in the Prospect Bowl before getting drafted 12th overall to the Dallas Birddogs in the 2056 DSFL Draft. In his first game, he got the Special Teams Player of the Week Award with 3/3 XPs and a perfect day on field goals, including a 50-yarder. Before Week 2, he was named as one of the two team captains. While this was going on, James was having doubts about his position of kicker. He "didn't enjoy it as much as in college". Due to a rapid change in life, James began to stress eating and became the weight of a lineman. In practice, he was tried as a DE for a joke by the coaches. Despite it being a joke, it became apparent that he was the best defensive lineman they had. After two weeks of middling performances at kicker in a row, James announced that he would be switching to DE for the rest of his career. He played his last game at kicker in Week 4 of S41 of the DSFL.
