Born to parents Connagh & Lisa in the Highland city of Inverness, Craig Brand was pushed into competitive sports by his zealous father from a young age. Originally focusing on the traditional game of Rugby, it was soon discovered that he excelled in the competitive environment. Quickly being scouted by all sorts of sporting academies from age 10, Brand eventually committed to Caledonian Rugby, where he would remain until age 17. Craig Brand converted from Rugby Union to American Football following a successful secondary school career as a Flanker. With the growing popularity of the sport, the road to the ISFL seemed like the right path to take for fame and fortune and Brand found himself relocating to Washington State to play for Buckfast U at age 18. Hoping to strengthen his nation's representation within the sport, a lack of experience was made up for with sheer enthusiasm & physicality, as he adapted to his new position.
