Early years
Nick L. Back is both blessed and cursed. The name, coming from Swedish immigrants to Canada, has become synonymous with a band that has split rock music lovers asunder. . Born in Hanna, Alberta, to parents Broke Back & Bringit Back, in the middle of what could be considered the “middle of nowhere” in Canada, Nick L. Back was initially aiming for a musical career but was unable to find gigs as venues thought he was playing pranks on them with his name. Giving up music and moving on to his second love, football, Back has risen among the Canadian junior football ranks to become a strong reliable Tight End. Highly polyvalent, he is able to slot in anywhere in the lineup even though he prefers offense over defense. He notably played for Lullaby High in Alberta at Wide Receiver and even once ran the ball as a Running Back. After High School, he was recruited by McGill University.
College career
"Joining McGill university to a musical degree program, Nick L. Back wasn't going to take football seriously until trying out with the McGill Redmen. A successful training camp had him initially placed at Wide Receiver but eventually shifted to Tight End as the Canadian game is more suited to the passing game and a strong tall Tight End added a lot more possibility down the middle. His rookie season, McGill finished runner-up in the RSEQ playoffs, losing out to the Laval Red & Gold, who would go on to win the Canadian Championship. Back became a viral sensation on social media after a play where he caught the ball and dragged a player who tried to tackle him over 20 yards to score a touchdown. Scouts from the ISFL and the DSFL were often spotted looking at games where Back played. After meeting ISFL Hall of Famer Alexandre LeClair, Nick L. Back hired him as a player agent and declared himself elligible to the DSFL. "
