Dan Miller (born January 4, 1995) is a retired American football defensive tackle who played for the San Jose Sabercats and the Colorado Yeti during his career in the National Simulation Football League (NSFL). He played college football for Louisiana State University (LSU) before being drafted by the San Jose Sabercats with the 88th overall pick in the 2016 ISFL Draft (S1). Miller holds numerous game and season records for the Sabercats and has 6 Pro Bowl Awards. He is one of the greatest defensive line players in the history of the NSFL and holds the record for most sacks in the NSFL.

San Jose Sabercats
With a large player pool available in the draft, many spots to fill and inconclusive scouting the inaugural draft was a shot in the dark for many teams. Miller was able to impress scouts with a bench press result of 47, that was also good for the best result of the whole combine, but being a defensive tackle, Miller was only drafted by the San Jose Sabercats, with the 88th overall pick. The Sabercats would have growing pains and finish with a disappointing 4-10 record and miss out on the playoffs. Miller would have a middle of the pack season, recording 51 tackles, four tackles for loss and 10 sacks.
2017 (S2) saw the addition of two new expansion teams to the league, but that did not affect the Sabercats as they finished with the same disappointing 4-10 record, and again missed the playoffs. Miller did not help out his team's cause as his play did not improve and it also showed in the statistics, which were stagnant apart from tackles which surprisingly dropped. 2018 (S3) was a totally different season for Miller who had a career year and would be the best season of his career and also earn his first Pro Bowl award. He would record 81 tackles, 3 tackles for loss 4 forced fumbles and 24 sacks, which was a league record at the time. This was not enough to help the Sabercats make it to the playoffs, but they would improve their record to 5-8-1.
The 2019 (S4) season was a huge improvement for the Sabercats and their league-leading defence. With certain position switches, the Sabercats would go 9-5 in the regular season and finish tied with the Orange County Otters for second in their conference, but with a worse point differential, they would lose the tiebreaker and heartbreakingly miss the playoffs. Miller would contribute to this ferocious defence recording 52 tackles, 2 fumble recoveries and 16 tackles, and his second straight Pro Bowl designation. The 2020 (S5) season would be much of the same for the Sabercats as they would have one of, if not the best defences in the league led by Miller. He would not have one of his best seasons statistically, but would still earn a Pro Bowl award. The Sabercats would go 8-6 and be tied with the Arizona Outlaws for second in the ASFC, but again lose out on a playoff spot due to their worse point differential.
The 2021 (S6) season was a huge improvement for the Sabercats and Miller compared to the previous season. They would go 11-3 in the regular season and finally make the playoffs for the first time in their franchise history. Miller would improve across all statistical categories compared to previous seasons and again earn a Pro Bowl designation. Sadly the Sabercats would end up losing to the Orange County Otters in the first round of the playoffs, with the Otters hitting the game-winning field goal with 34 seconds remaining. This would end up being Miller's last season in San Jose as he was traded to the Colorado Yeti for the 2022 (S7) season
Colorado Yeti
Colorado had endured a winless 2021 season and hoped Miller could add to their defence and help their fortunes. In the end, Colorado would continue their awful record into the 2022 season and end up being winless across two seasons. They would end up having the worst defence in the league, although Miller would try his best to help the Yeti out, and would end up garnering his fifth straight Pro Bowl award. The 2023 (S8) season would be a huge improvement for the Yeti and they would have a fearsome run defence, led by the Miller who would earn his 6th straight and final Pro Bowl award. The Yeti would finish 6-8 and put their winless seasons behind them. The 2024 (S9) season would bring the Yeti back to the playoffs on the back of an 8-6 regular season. They would ultimately end up losing to the Baltimore Hawks in the first round of the playoffs by a score of 40-34. This would end up being Miller's last season in the NSFL, but he would leave with a bang, recording his second-highest season sack total of 19.
