Brach Thomaslacher (born November 15, 2015) is an American football linebacker for the Kansas City Coyotes of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Brach Thomaslacher was born and rasied in Pasco, Washington to Steven and Lavoyda Thomaslacher. Even at a young age Brach's parents could tell that football was going to play a huge role in Brach's life. His father would tell of stories of how Brach would spend hours playing outside as a young kid trying to tackle full grown trees. He also had a love for the game. Every week Brach would sit down and watch football with his father. There was a fire inside of him that drove him to learn everything he could possible learn about the game. That fire coupled with shear toughness and determination led him to make varsity in his first Freshmen season at Pasco High School. Through his 4 years of playing he amassed 1,012 career tackles, 113 sacks, and 17 interceptions while wearing the number 54. A staggering statistical total that caught the eyes of college scouts all over the country. Opening recruitment letters became a normal occurence for Brach who was widely regarded as an ESPN top 100 recruit. With the whole country watching Brach finally committed his playing career to the Texas Tech University Aggies.

College career

After accepting an offer from Texas Tech University Brach was on his way to the big time. He figured, he would play maybe 2 or 3 years max before he declared for the DSFL draft. However, what Brach did not expect to find in his years of college football was his passion for being a team player. In High School Brach was worried about one thing, getting the tackle no matter what. College showed Brach that there was more to the game than just being a hard-hitting sack machine. Over the years, Brach grew and developed into more than just a Linebacker, he became a leader. He fell in love with the team and his number one concern was not about himself, but about the team. Over his 4 years playing for Texas Tech he amassed 561 career tackles which shattered Luke Kuechly’s previous record of 532. His time at Texas Tech showed everyone that there was something special about his abilities and that he was ready for the next step. The next step came in the form of a waiver pick up by the Kansas City Coyotes in Season 22 of the DSFL.

Kansas City Coyotes (2037 - Active)

2037

Officially, joining the league after the 2037 Trade Deadline meant that Brach was placed on a waiver list. However, he did not last very long as the Kansas City Coyotes quickly grabbed him in order to bolster their late season play-off push. Brach Thomaslacher was picked up with 4 games left to go in the 2037 season and spent the first 2 games learning from upper management and trying to fit into his new temporary home. He finally got the nod to get some game time in the Week 13 match-up against the Tijuana Luchadores where he only was able to gather 2 tackles, but helped the team to an upset win with a score of 23-20. With a potential play-off birth on the line, Brach was given playing time in the regular season finale against the Dallas Birddogs, and while Kansas City's Playoff hopes were crush by a 31-23 defeat, Brach was able to secure another 3 tackles and more importantly his first career sack and forced fumble. As the regular season concluded Brach was placed back into the draft pool and would await the results.

2038

With the 17th pick in the Season 23 DSFL Draft the Coyotes chose to bring Brach Thomaslacher back to Kansas City. Returning to Kansas City meant that Brach already knew what was expected of him and also meant that both he and the team could hit the ground running going into the 2038 season, and that is just what they did. In Brach's first regular season game against the London Royals the defense was a forced to be reckoned with. No player put up eye popping stats that stood out but the defensive unit as a whole did. Holding the Royals to only 6 points Brach added 5 tackles and his first career sack (as a drafted player) to the stat line. This helped to propel the Coyotes to their first win of the season. The next week did not go as well from a team standpoint as the Norfolk Seawolves gave the Coyotes a pretty handy 27-10 whooping. However, Brach had a career game with 13 tackles, 1 sack and his first forced fumble (as a drafted player). He also earned his first Defensive Player of the Game honors with that performance. The next week the team bounced back with a nice win over the Buccaneers and while Brach had a relatively quiet game with just 5 tackles. The winning ways continued as the coyotes went on to demolish the Luchadores 33-6 and improve their season to 3-1. Again, Brach was quiet this game and added only 5 tackles to the stat line, but the team was winning and that was great! Next up the Coyotes played the Birddogs in what was arguably the clostest game all season as the Birddogs ended up beating the Coyotes 15-14 with a 4th quarter field goal. Brach had another nice game totaling 8 tackles and another sack, which put him at 3 for the season. Coming into the last game of the first half of the season Brach and the team really started to hit their stride. He amassed another 10 tackles and added another tackle for a loss to his stat line. The next 3 games everything was going great for KC as they beat London, Norfolk and Myrtle Beach to improve to 7-3 on the season. During those 3 games Brach amassed 19 tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for a loss and his first career fumble recovery. Sitting at 7-3 Kansas city had already clinched a playoff spot and things were looking great. Moving into the last 4 games of the season Brach was moved to Defensive End and finalized the last 4 games with 24 tackles and 2 more sacks. He also earned his second Defensive Player of the game award in the Week 14 loss to Portland as he amassed 10 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, and 1 sack. As the regular season ended, Kansas City was on a 4 game losing streak but, had still managed to clinch the first seed in the NFC North. Kansas City Squared off against the London Royals in the Conference Finals. With the final score being a Kansas City win of 14-13. A defensive showdown that came down to a crucial sack by Kansas City to knock the Royals out of field goal range and force a turnover on downs with just over a minute left in the game. Brach led the way in Kansas City with 9 tackles. The win meant that the team would be headed to the Ultimini to face Norfolk. Expectations were low coming into the game as Norfolk not only had home field advantage but, were also just a powerhouse in the league. Kansas City came out with a stout defense in the first half with Brach gathering up 6 tackles and a sack by half time. However, moving into the second half the defense just did not have any answers for the Norfolk push and Brach only gathered 2 more tackles. Ending the season with a loss is always tough but, it was a great season for both the team and Brach Thomaslacher.
