Ace McAlister (born March 3, 2026) is an American football cornerback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks.He played college football for Cincinatti and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Ace McAlister was born in the small town of Dinosaur, Colorado as the only child to Chris and Alyssa McAlister. Being born in a small town came with many perks for the young Ace, as he was able to star on the football field and dominate the early football leagues until he reached his freshman season at Rangley High. In his first season at the school, McAlister got to be QB1 for the squad, throwing for 25 TDs and Running for 10 in his first season as a true varsity freshman, and on the defense side he was tasked with playing CB1 for the team. This also seemed to go well for Ace, as he only allowed 12 catches all season to opposing Wideouts that season. The rest of his high school career went virtually the same, with the exception of ditching the qb job for his senior season where Ace racked up 10 INTs and 40 Pass Deflections, both new team records for the small Rangley school. This preformance got him many college offers, but Ace settled on his full ride scholarship to Cincinatti, where his football journey would continue.

College career

Being able to start as a true freshman at Slot Corner for the Bearcats squad, McAlister was more of a tackler in his first season, picking up 66 tackles to pair with 8 PDs, not the worst showing he could've put out there but there is always room for improvement. His sophomore season started off with some good news for Ace, as both CBs ahead of him in the depth chart were selected in the NFL draft during the offseason, leaving McAlister as the de facto CB1 in the Bearcats game plan. This move to CB1 only seemed to make McAlister better, as he racked up 5 INTs and 25 PDs in his breakout sophomore season, combined with 0 TDs allowed during the season, leading the Bearcats defense and team to being ranked 12th in the nation. After deciding to stay with the team for his junior season, Ace only got better by racking up a whopping 8 INTs and 33 PDs and a continuation of his no TD allowed streak leading the Bearcats all the way to 5th ranked in the nation, not enough for the playoff. Ace decided to enter the DSFL draft after this, his professional career on the horizon.

Professional career

Season 33

After joining the league was before the next DSFL draft, at the trade deadline, McAlister was sent to waivers to join a team until draft season arrived. He was picked up by the London Royals, a far trip to play some developmental football, but it was worth it in the end. After playing 4 games with the Royals squad, they seemed to pick up some lightning in a bottle as they ended the season with 3 wins in a row, doubling their season win total in those 3 weeks. McAlister had a rough first game in the DSFL, giving up a whopping 114 yards in his first opportunity playing outside corner, finishing with 10 tackles in the contest, something Ace vowed to never let happen again while he was outside. He delivered on this promise only 15 receptions and 14 tackles for the rest of the season, the Royals missed the playoffs unfortunately, so McAlisters attention turned to the upcoming dsfl draft.

Season 34

After entering the DSFL Draft, Ace was selected in the 4th round by the team he wanted to go to the most, the Minnesota Grey Ducks. He preferred them because he would instantly be given an outside corner spot on Day 1, something he wanted to continue from college. After having his no TD allowed streak broken on the first game, he turned his focus to be anything team related from here on out, and trying to get this team to an Ultimini. After grabbing 3 interceptions in 3 games, he was near the top of the CB leaderboards with other rookies Cob Corning and Art Deco, as well as 2nd year CB Russet Buster. With a small rivalry forming between, McAlister was unfortunately left in the dust to the other three, but in the team success department was where Ace reigned supreme, as the Grey Ducks made the Ultimini against the 6-8 Birddogs. Unfortunately the Grey Ducks lost, but McAlister's 5 INT, 19 PD season helped to place him high on draft boards as he entered the ISFL draft, where he was selected 2nd overall by the Orange County Otters.

Season 35

After being selected 2nd overall by the Orange County Otters, Ace had finally accomplished his dream of playing football at the highest level, the ISFL. However, things did not come easy to McAlister at first, with him being cooked by the Colorado Yeti for 2 TDs in his first game, easily the worst coverage game of Ace's career, but as he will learn during the course of the season, football is a team game and if he falters, the team can still win and they did 45-35, making him 1-0 in his career. As the season went on, Ace continued to get better as he grabbed his first interception in Week 2 which also happened to be a pick six making that his first of many TDs in the ISFL hopefully. As the season progressed he grabbed 2 more INTs as the Otters made it into the playoffs, however they fell to the Outlaws 17-34 sending them back home, with McAlister hoping to continue to get better in his sophomore season.

Season 36

Entering his second season on the Otters, and presumably the Otters last contending season, McAlister was ready to try and help seize the opportunity that this closing window had left. After a heartbreaking Week 1 loss against the Sabercats, in which McAlister gave up 100 yards and a TD, he was determined to make a statement in their next game against the reigning champions in the Honolulu Hahalua. And a statement was made as the Otters crushed them 37-7, with Ace locking up his matchup to only 3 catches for 24 yards, showcasing the Shutdown CB potential that the scouts knew he had and hoped he could continue this level of production down the stretch. This was not the case, as OCO went on to finish with a 7-9 record, 2 games out of the last playoff spot, with McAlister finishing with a subpar 2 interceptions and 6 less PDs than last year, showing that there was still much room to grow for the young CB.

Season 37

Going into the next season, Ace was determined to make it his best, and he did not fail, posting another 2 TD season on a struggling Otters team who is shifting their philosophy from win now to rebuilding, as seen with the multitude of trades the front officer has made before and during the season. With all of these changes, the Front Office made sure to reassure McAlister that he was a key piece in their rebuild, and that was all it took for McAlister to sign a long term deal with the team, with reassurance that he would preform like an elite CB, and preform he did. While the stat sheet might not be filled like his teammate Anton Bruckner, the advanced analytics said that Ace has lead the league in completion percentage against, holding opposing WRs to only catching the ball 54% of the time, much lower than the 60%+ of the rest of the league. Ace hopes to get into next season and add some counting stats, getting the league honors he wanted to truly consider himself a lockdown CB.

Season 38

Going into S38, Ace still had a lot to prove if he wanted to be considered a top CB in the league. He had an ok start to the season, gathering lots of PDs, but now that he was matched against opposing WR1s he was allowing more catches. This was until Ace faced off against the Butchers in Week 8, where he picked off Oles Jr twice and returned both for TDs, catapulting him to the top of the stat rankings across the league, even though the Otters were not in playoff contention. This quickly changed however, as they did get within 1 game of making the playoffs near the end, but McAlister and the defense were not enough to hold the Outlaws and Silverbacks near the end, causing them to miss the playoffs with a 9-7 record. Ace, after setting career highs in Interceptions, Pass Deflections, and Tackles, which gave him the FLEX spot on the All Pro 1st Team, an honor that McAlister had never received before.

Season 39

Entering his 5th season with the Otters, Ace was voted captain for the young rebuilding team, and he hoped to add onto his all pro caliber season last season with another one. Ace had a very solid start to the season, getting 3 PDs in the first game, followed by 4 in the second game, putting Ace on pace for a very dominant season on a lackluster defense. Ace did end up leading the league in PDs on the season, with 33, his career high and 3 more than the next closest player. He also had a decent season taking away the ball from opposing qbs, with 5 INTs on the year, but he still had trouble with forcing fumbles, as he totaled 0 forced fumbles or fumble recoveries, it remains a part of his game he wants to work on, as it was the reason he lost out on the CB spot last season on the all pro team, and it turns out it would be the reason for this season too, as he was beat by Anthony Stark for the CB spot, making Ace the All Pro Defensive Flex again. Ace aims to make the leap to a true lockdown CB next season.
