Early years
Born in a small town where they played hard and worked harder. Jon rode his bike to all of his practices even though the field was 20 miles away. Jon fell in love with football because he was allowed to hit someone and there would be no consequences. His parents split when he turned 13 often sleeping in a tent under a bridge or in the woods or trying to find a couch to sleep on during the winter months. Often lonely and forgotten he never lost his passion for football. He was about to quit before his freshman year but his coaches talked him into playing and it was a good thing they did. The only reason Jon made his grades was so that he could play ball. He was a 2 time all state DE and helped his team win the state championship his junior year. He was injured halfway through his Senior year he lost allot of scholarship opportunities but there was still a few. Texas made a halfhearted attempt and Jon along with some smaller schools. Jon decided on Texas for two reasons, it is defensive line university and the second being if he had to find somewhere to sleep at least it wouldn’t be in 6 foot of snow.
College career
Happy to be far from his past. Adams took the field his freshman year. It was a slow start but successful with 17 tackles, 19 assists, and 8 sacks. The sophmore season was better with 40 tackles 14 assists and 13 sacks. He improved once agian in his Junior and final year before declaring for the draft with 37 tackles 21 assits and 19 sacks. While he loved playing at Texas it was time to move on to the NSFL.
