Sonny "Bear" Johnson (born January 10, 2032) is an American football defensive tackle who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Missouri State (MSU) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Sonny "Bear" Johnson's upbringing in rural Montana was not an easy one. He was always bigger and stronger than the other kids his age, which made him an outcast. As an orphan, he found a sense of belonging and purpose on the football field.

At Big Sky High School, Sonny was a standout on both the offensive and defensive lines. As a defensive tackle, he quickly established himself as one of the best players in the state, earning a reputation as a fierce competitor who was never afraid to take on larger opponents. His size and strength were impressive, but what set him apart was his innate ability to read the opposing team's plays and make tackles before they could gain any yardage.

Sonny's success on the field did not go unnoticed, and college scouts from across the country began to take an interest in him. He received offers from several top programs, but ultimately chose to attend Missouri State.

College career

Despite receiving offers from several prestigious football programs, Sonny chose to play for Missouri State, a school that was a few states away from his hometown. He was drawn to the school's football program and the opportunity to be part of a close-knit team.

As a freshman, Johnson quickly established himself as a key player on the team, starting every game at defensive tackle and earning recognition as the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year.

Johnson continued to excel throughout his college career, earning First-Team All-Conference honours three times and being named an All-American in his senior year.

Sonny's nickname, "Bear," came from his formidable size and strength. At 6'4"" and 300 pounds, he was an imposing figure on the field, and his teammates joked that he was like a grizzly bear in the way he dominated opponents. Off the field, Sonny was known for his easy-going personality and his love of hunting and fishing.

Although Johnson wore jersey number 95 throughout his college career at Missouri State, he has decided to switch to number 94 once he entered the professional ranks. The reason for the change is simple: Johnson's favourite ever player, Reggie White, wore the number 94, and he wanted to pay homage to him by wearing the same number on his own jersey.
