Early years
Bradley Welch Jr. was born in London, England to Bradley Welch, and Emma Welch. He had a brother, Finn Welch, and a sister Savanna Welch who were both much younger than him. His dad was the star WR for the London Royals of the DSFL for 4 years. Having a dad like that, Bradley grew up around the game of football and instantly fell in love with the game. Like his dad, in middle school he participated in alot of different activities and sports for the school. He would go on to win a state title in Baseball and track. To go along with that he helped his high school to 2 state championships and districts all 4 years. In Welch's senior season, he led the state in INTs, PD, and TDs. He was named all County for 3 years and earned All American honors. All these achievements earned him many college offers, but he decided to commit to UCF where his dad went.
College career
Junior earned his spot on the starting roster in Spring ball of his freshman year. He impressed the coaches immediately and they told him he would be CB2 that year. Junior had a decently impressive Freshman year with a stat line of 6 INTs, 11 PDs, and 21 tackles. In the offseason between Freshman and Sophomore years Junior realized he needed to put in some work if he wanted to make the move up to CB1 and be the star that his coach expects him to be. He started his sophomore year off as CB 1 and had a great start to the season with 4 INTs in the first 3 games, but unfortunately in his 4th game Junior tore his ACL while coming down after an INT. He missed the rest of his sophomore season and the first 2 games of his junior season. When he came back, many people thought he would be a little rusty, but they were wrong. Junior came back better than ever, breaking the UCF single season INT record with 10 junior year. He finished Junior year with 10 INTs, 14 PDs, and 43 tackles. In his Junior season, Junior had all Conference honors.
