Dennis Rodman (born July 9, 2000) is an American football offensive lineman for the Tijuana Luchadores of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Rodman was born in Trenton, New Jersey, the son of Shirley and Philander Rodman, Jr., an Air Force enlisted member, who later fought in the Vietnam War. When he was young, his father left his family, eventually settling in the Philippines. Rodman has many brothers and sisters: according to his father, he has either 26 or 28 siblings on his father's side. However, Rodman has stated that he is the oldest of a total of 47 children. After his father left, Shirley took many odd jobs to support the family, up to four at the same time. In his 1996 biography Bad As I Wanna Be, he expresses his feelings for his father: "I haven't seen my father in more than 30 years, so what's there to miss ... I just look at it like this: Some man brought me into this world. That doesn't mean I have a father". He would not meet his father again until 2012.

College career

After retiring from the NBA Rodman had set his sights on conquering another sport. He enrolled in the University of Connecticut and started in his Freshman season at right tackle part times. He would go on to have great reps throughout his first season with a number of pancakes. However, he had issues keeping out of penalty trouble which cost him playing time. Rodman was quick to fight back although, that is what you like to see out of a tackle. Rodman has always stood by his quarterback. Unfortunattely UConn did not have any real success during his stay, but its UConn so that isn't surprising. Rodman had been in discussion for the Joe Moore award during his junior season. However, due to an injury in his senior season was unable to compete for the award his last season. Coming out of college Rodman had all the physical talent and knowledge to be a great performer at the next level should he keep out of trouble.
