Kurt Nightcrawler Wagner (born October 5, 2040) is an American football offensive lineman who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Kansas University (KU) before being drafted by the Berlin Fire Salamanders in the 2063 ISFL Draft (S48). Prior to this, he had been drafted by the Portland Pythons in the 2062 DSFL Draft (S47).

Early years

Kurt Wagner was by all appearances born in Germany to two loving parents, who introduced him to the world of athletics very early. Initially interested in gymnastics, Kurt excelled in beam-work, and dabbled in every other event, including other olympic sports, apart from swimming. For some reason, he hates the water. After a youth gymnastics event took him to Dallas, Texas, Kurt was introduced to the sport of Football, and started bulking up. In Germany they gave him a nickname which roughly translates to the chicken-killer, because he was eating so many eggs! Luckily, this rudimentary strategy worked, and with a combination of physical devotion and mental acuity, Kurt prepared himself for the big time! The scouts were concerned about if he was committed to football rather than some other future track, and his tendency to be some place and then disappear made some scouts think he was flaky, but he always made it back in time. What else could he be up to?

College career

Kurt Wagner was drafted to Kansas University and as a true freshman did well, proving himself as a viable option for the checkdown passes, as he could make defenders miss with his erratic movement style. This made him known for explosive plays, but at the risk of gains for little. In his sophomore year, Wagner worked on his ability to block, adding another skill to his toolbag. The running back that season was grateful, as Kurt became elite as an extra blocker, and the wide receivers suddenly got more time to get open. Kurt's usefulness transformed KU's program from rebuilding to title contender in two years. And in that third and final year before Kurt declared eligibility. Oh boy, did the Jayhawks wipe the field with everyone. Kurt practiced his speed drills until he didn't need to rely on his jukes to make it to the endzone, he could just zip by them.
